Generally speaking, pyrolysis is a process of chemically decomposing organic materials at elevated temperatures in the absence of oxygen. The process typically occurs at nominated temperatures and under pressure. It simultaneously involves the change of physical phase and chemical composition and is an irreversible process. During the whole pyrolysis process, we can recycle steel mills oil sludge to fuel oil, carbon black and syn-gas; the following is a brief introduction to the recycling process:
Preprocessing: Before pyrolysis, the oil sludge needs to be pretreated to remove water. This step can be achieved by centrifugation, filtration, or other methods.
Feeding and Pyrolysis: The oil sludge will be sent to the pyrolysis reactor with the oil sludge pump and pyrolysed at high temperature (generally between 400°C and 600°C) to obtain fuel oil, carbon black and syn-gas;

Exhaust gas cleaning: The pyrolysis gas, also called syn-gas, is separated and purified to be recycled. The main component of the syn-gas is bio-gas (CH4), so we can not condense and store these gases. These gases as the heating energy for the waste oil sludge pyrolysis plant and you can use exceed gases for other heating applications.
